Guest Speaker: Dr. Fadwa Nasser. Dr. Nasser was born and raised in Sudan. She grew up in a strong Catholic family in a nation that is predominantly Muslim. As a child, she was educated in a Catholic school run by the Camboni missionaries in Khartoum. Fadwa studied and graduated from the University of Khartoum School of Dentistry. At the age of 24, she fled the Sudan and came to the United States as a refugee. Dr. Fadwa pursued her dental career at New York State University, and currently owns a dental practice in Falls Church, Virginia. She married in 2002, and was blessed with two beautiful children. Her story is a journey of faith and trust in God and His great mercy. Her faith and trust has been tried and strengthened at an early age through the pain of her parents’ divorce, and her own. Her deep devotion to the Church, the sacraments, and prayer was her saving grace. She knows firsthand the healing power
of the sacraments, and how blessings can flow through the good fight against tribulations. Dr. Fadwa, a long?time member of CWIA, is Spiritfilled and has a deep devotion to the Blessed Mother. She accompanied CWIA board members to Columbia and served the poorest of the poor with dental services.
